Refund Policy

Refund policy for all Engage Apps Shopify applications. Understand our refund eligibility, limitations, and app-specific conditions.

We want every merchant to feel confident trying our apps. This policy outlines when refunds are available, what limitations apply, and any app-specific conditions. We keep things fair and straightforward.

General Eligibility

To request a refund, contact us via in-app chat (preferred) or email within 72 hours of your subscription or billing cycle renewal. Include a clear explanation of the issue along with any relevant screenshots.

If you're unhappy with the app within 72 hours of subscribing, we'll issue a full refund without question — provided any changes made to your store (such as watermarked or optimized photos) are restored to their originals before the refund is processed. We cannot allow merchants to use our apps, request a refund, and keep the work.

Upgrading Your Plan

If you upgrade from a monthly plan to a yearly (or lifetime) plan, we'll refund your current monthly charge after the upgrade is activated. There's no need to cancel first — just upgrade and the refund is automatic or issued upon request.

Missed Cancellations

If you forget to cancel before a new billing cycle begins, you have up to 72 hours into the new cycle to contact us for a full refund of that cycle. Please include a screenshot of your billing statement as proof.

What We Don't Refund

  • Partial-month usage. Monthly subscriptions cover the full billing cycle. There are no pro-rated refunds for unused days or features.
  • Multiple months. Refunds are limited to a maximum of one billing cycle. You cannot claim refunds for several months of past usage.
  • Late requests. Any plan active for more than one cycle and past 72 hours into the next cycle is not eligible for a refund.
  • Yearly plans. No full or pro-rated refunds beyond the initial 72-hour window.
  • Account transfers. Memberships cannot be transferred between merchant accounts. Each store must purchase its own plan.

Third-Party AI Services

Some of our apps use third-party AI services (such as background removal, image upscaling, and alt text generation). Because these services incur costs that cannot be recovered, AI-related charges are only refundable at 25% and must be claimed within the 72-hour window.

App-Specific Conditions

SEO King — If you purchased a one-time optimization, you may re-optimize your shop once within 72 hours if you change your settings. If you then upgrade to a monthly or yearly plan, your one-time purchase will be automatically refunded.

Swap Photo Editor — If you have made fewer than 50 total swaps, you're eligible for a full refund without question. Refunds for the lifetime plan are not available beyond the 50-swap limit. The Remove Background Pro service is a pay-per-use third-party feature and is non-refundable.

Technical Issues

We do not offer refunds for unexpected technical issues unless you've reported the problem to our team and we were unable to resolve it within a few days. This exception applies primarily to new users — existing users are expected to allow reasonable time for a fix. You cannot use a technical issue as grounds for a refund if the issue did not prevent you from using the app.

A Note on Communication

We're a small, common-sense team that genuinely wants to help. Please reach out with kind, complete information — including screenshots when relevant — and we'll give your case our full attention. Messages with aggressive language or threats of negative reviews may be dismissed at our staff's discretion.
